KMC Stampings is seeking a Brake Press Operator to work on 1st shift at our Port Washington location. This role operates manual brake presses and punch presses to form and bend a variety of materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate brake press and punch press to form, bend and punch a variety of work Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templatesUse scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gaugesSorting and packaging partsVerify quantity & quality of materialEmpty scrap luggars and performs miscellaneous tasks as requiredOperates overhead crane while moving productComplete & maintain all required paperworkResponsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Highly motivated self starterRequires 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experienceGood math skillsBasic reading & writing skillsStrong attention to detailInterpersonal skills & friendly attitudeAbility to function well in a team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required talk or hear and may occasionally sit; regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
