GM/HBC Specialist - Part Time Seasonal in Waconia, Minnesota at Mackenthun Supermarket Inc

Job Summary

Join our GM/HBC Team for the season! This is part time (6-12 hours/week on average, availability specifics below). GM/HBC Specialists keep General Merchandise and Health & Beauty Care (HBC) shelves stocked with fresh products. They contribute to Mackenthun's Exceptional Experience by greeting customers, offering assistance, and answering inquiries.

Inventory Management:

• Stock, merchandise, face, rotate, and restock products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of department shelves.
• Minimize department losses through proper product handling and storage.
• Safeguard company equipment, resources, and image.

Customer Service:

• Ensure exceptional service in both General Merchandise and HBC departments.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming department environment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Previous customer service and retail experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to communicate professionally in English.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize and efficiently perform duties.
• Interest in food and promoting Mackenthun’s Exceptional Experience.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, and Internet usage.
• Willingness to learn about products and services offered at Mackenthun’s.

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 1,500 lbs. with a pallet jack.
• Exposure to hot/cold environments and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work in fast-paced settings with varying temperatures.

Availability

• Part time hours Saturday and Sunday (could be every week or every other)
• Flexible morning hours to accommodate business needs.
