We are seeking an experienced data modeling professional to lead the design and development of scalable, enterprise-grade data architectures that power financial reporting, business intelligence, and data-driven products. In this role, you will transform complex business requirements into robust conceptual, logical, and physical data models. You will leverage your expertise in Third Normal Form (3NF), dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and SQL to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance. Working closely with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams, you will drive effective data integration and governance practices. You will also establish modeling standards, optimize existing architectures, and provide technical leadership across complex data initiatives. • Enterprise Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support enterprise applications, financial reporting, analytics, and data products.
• Relational Data Design: Apply Third Normal Form (3NF) modeling principles to build normalized relational structures, reduce redundancy, and maintain data integrity across systems.
• Dimensional Modeling: Develop and maintain dimensional models using star and snowflake schemas, including facts, dimensions, and hierarchies, to support business intelligence and analytical reporting.
• Data Warehousing: Design and optimize data warehouse architectures to enable efficient data integration, storage, transformation, and retrieval.
• SQL Development and Optimization: Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries to validate models, investigate data discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and improve query performance.
• Business Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, reporting requirements, and data relationships, translating them into scalable and effective modeling solutions.
• Modeling Standards and Documentation: Establish and maintain data modeling standards, naming conventions, metadata, documentation, and design best practices to promote consistency and maintainability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, data engineers, ETL/ELT teams, and analytics professionals to ensure accurate implementation of data models across enterprise platforms.
• Architecture Assessment: Evaluate existing data structures and architectures, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to scalability, performance, reliability, and data quality.
• Data Governance: Support data governance, master data management, and data quality initiatives to maintain consistent definitions and reliable information across business domains.
• Technical Leadership: Lead data modeling discussions, conduct design reviews, mentor team members, and provide technical guidance to stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

• Professional Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in data modeling, data architecture, data warehousing, or related enterprise data disciplines.
• 3NF Modeling: Strong hands-on expertise in Third Normal Form modeling and relational database design, including normalization, data integrity, and relationship management.
• Dimensional Modeling: In-depth knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques, including star and snowflake schemas, facts, dimensions, and hierarchies.
• Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, architecture, implementation, and performance optimization.
• SQL Expertise: Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, database structures, data validation, troubleshooting, and query optimization.
• Enterprise Data Architecture: Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-performance enterprise data models.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and technology leaders.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: A structured, detail-oriented approach to resolving data challenges, evaluating architectures, and improving data quality and performance.
• Data Modeling Tools (Preferred): Hands-on experience with ERwin or ER/Studio for enterprise data modeling and documentation.
• Cloud Data Platforms (Preferred): Familiarity with Snowflake and other enterprise cloud data platforms.
• Modern Data Ecosystems (Preferred): Exposure to Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and SAP data environments.
• Data Integration and Governance (Preferred): Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, metadata management, data integration, data governance, and master data management.
• Leadership and Ownership: The ability to lead modeling initiatives, establish technical standards, communicate design decisions, and guide teams in complex enterprise environments.
