This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Systems Designer based in India.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced automation professional to design and deliver advanced industrial control and information systems for leading manufacturing organizations. In this role, you will work across the full project lifecycle, from concept and design through implementation, testing, and commissioning, while leveraging cutting-edge automation and software technologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges, optimize production processes, and develop innovative real-time solutions. - Design, develop, and implement real-time industrial automation and information solutions across manufacturing and enterprise environments.
- Participate in all phases of project delivery, including system design, programming, configuration, testing, commissioning, and ongoing optimization.
- Develop PLC, PAC, HMI, SCADA, MES, database, networking, motion control, machine safety, and high-level software solutions based on project requirements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering designs, project notes, proposals, traceability documents, and case studies.
- Perform system debugging, troubleshooting, validation, and performance optimization to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative automation solutions.
- Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies that enhance manufacturing efficiency and operational performance.
- Share technical expertise by mentoring colleagues, promoting best practices, and contributing to continuous knowledge development across the engineering team.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- 6–8+ years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, systems integration, or control systems engineering.
- Strong experience with PLC programming, SCADA/HMI systems, industrial networking, databases, motion control, machine safety, or high-level software development.
- Experience with technologies such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Ignition (Vision and Perspective), Beckhoff TwinCAT, Wonderware, or similar industrial automation platforms is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages and technologies including C#, .NET, HTML5, SQL, Visual Basic, cloud technologies, or related software development tools.
- Solid analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex industrial systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple concurrent engineering projects in fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to travel locally, with occasional travel opportunities across India as required.
