This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, customer experience, and go-to-market execution, helping shape how innovative identity security solutions are brought to market.
You will lead field validation efforts for new identity capabilities, working closely with customers, sales teams, and product stakeholders to uncover meaningful insights.
The position requires a strong understanding of identity security concepts and the ability to distinguish true product opportunities from messaging or adoption challenges.
You will transform customer conversations into actionable product intelligence, influencing roadmap decisions and improving market readiness.
As the product area evolves, you will become a trusted owner of identity-focused initiatives, supporting adoption, positioning, and complex customer engagements.
This is an opportunity to build influence in a high-impact cybersecurity environment where technical expertise directly shapes product success.
In this role, you will own the connection between product development and real-world customer needs by leading field-facing initiatives, validating product opportunities, and ensuring identity solutions deliver measurable value. You will work across product, sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams to create scalable processes, improve adoption, and guide strategic decisions.
- Lead the field strategy for identity product launches, including customer demonstrations, technical deep dives, and proof-of-value engagements.
- Validate product messaging through live customer interactions and identify whether challenges are related to product capabilities, positioning, or sales execution.
- Analyze patterns across customer conversations and translate insights into clear recommendations for product and go-to-market teams.
- Build launch playbooks and enablement materials based on proven customer engagement strategies.
- Transition into ongoing ownership of the identity product area, supporting lifecycle management and continuous improvement.
- Conduct adoption analysis for identity features and support technical evaluations during competitive opportunities.
- Provide expert guidance during complex identity-related customer situations involving security teams and technical stakeholders.
- Partner with product marketing on messaging, competitive positioning, and market feedback.
- Establish structured reporting and insight-sharing processes to improve product decisions.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by bringing deep identity expertise and customer-driven perspectives.
The ideal candidate brings strong identity security expertise, customer-facing technical experience, and the ability to convert complex technical discussions into actionable business insights. You should be comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, influencing stakeholders, and building new processes from the ground up.
- 4+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Field Product Manager, or similar technical customer-facing role within identity security or related cybersecurity domains.
- Strong knowledge of identity security concepts, including authentication workflows, access management, privilege escalation, account takeover risks, and identity-based threats.
- Experience supporting early-stage products, launches, beta programs, or initiatives where processes and playbooks were created from scratch.
- Ability to engage confidently with security leaders and technical buyers while translating conversations into product recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear narratives for both technical and business audiences.
- Experience working in outbound-facing roles focused on market intelligence, customer insights, and product feedback rather than direct sales quotas.
- Proven ability to identify patterns across multiple customer interactions and develop recommendations supported by evidence.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to separate product issues from positioning or adoption challenges.
- Experience collaborating with product management, product marketing, sales engineering, and go-to-market teams.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for synthesizing qualitative customer feedback is a plus.
- Experience with account takeover prevention, identity abuse, or privilege-related security challenges is preferred.
- Prior experience presenting in structured cross-functional forums or executive-level discussions is a plus.
- Competitive base salary range of $133,900 – $192,500 USD depending on skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
- Eligibility for additional compensation opportunities, including bonus or incentive compensation.
- Equity participation opportunities.
- Comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being and financial security.
