Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. This role coordinates inbound and outbound logistics, maintains shipping documentation, communicates with customers and transportation providers, and ensures accurate transaction processing within company systems. The coordinator also provides backup for higher-level logistics functions.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Verify receipt and shipment of products, materials, and supplies.
  • Review packing slips, bills of lading, Bills of Material, and shipping documentation for accuracy.
  • Understand customer and shipping documentation requirements.
  • Process receiving transactions and shipping records within company software.
  • Maintain accurate receipt, shipment, and inventory records.
  • Generate shipping paperwork including bills of lading, packing lists, and carrier documentation.
  • Prepare daily shipping reports.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with freight carriers, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor departmental email inboxes and shipping requests to ensure timely processing.
  • Coordinate shipments with Project Management and Global Logistics for complex freight movements.
  • Support domestic and international shipments as required.
  • Assist with loading and unloading shipments during peak workload periods.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment as needed.
  • Ensure customer materials are properly identified and assigned job numbers.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for Shipping & Receiving Associates/Clerks regarding shipping procedures and documentation.
  • Assist in resolving shipping discrepancies and operational issues.
  • Serve as backup for other logistics personnel as assigned.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of shipping, receiving, logistics, or industrial manufacturing experience.
  • Strong understanding of shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, packing slips, and Bills of Material.
  • Experience coordinating with freight carriers and transportation providers.
  • Experience using ERP, inventory, or shipping software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma /GED from an accredited school or institution.
  • Associates degree or logistics certification preferred but not required.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The position will be based full-time in our RMS Bay Area Boulevard facility located in Pasadena, TX.
  • This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week.
  • This position can be required to participate in the company random or customer specific drug and alcohol screening and background check.
  • Able to understand, read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Able to pass a pre- employment drug and alcohol test and background check.
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to stand and walk for significant portions of the shift.
  • Ability and willingness to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs., walk, climb, reach, kneel, crawl, and balance.
  • Must be able to use hands for assembly and tool usage.
  • Must not have allergies or issues related to handling metals including aluminum, copper, bronze, and steel.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. While the work area may be described as generally clean, safe, and "not loud", there will be machining operations that generate moderate noise and metal particles.
