Manufacturing Shop Technician in Clinton Twp., Michigan at GAGE BILT Inc

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working with their hands and taking on a variety of responsibilities.

This is a hands-on position where no two days are exactly alike. You'll support manufacturing by finishing precision parts, moving materials, assisting with equipment installation, performing general shop maintenance, and helping keep production running efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Finish precision components through deburring, grinding, polishing, lapping, trimming, and sandblasting.
• Read shop orders and work instructions, report labor, and complete visual inspections and basic quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and similar tools.
• Move materials, operate basic shop equipment, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist with routine maintenance, minor repairs, equipment installations, facility improvements, and other production needs throughout the plant.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
• Manufacturing, metalworking, maintenance, or general shop experience is preferred.
• Ability to read instructions, perform physical work, and work independently while supporting the team.
• Forklift or scissor lift experience is a plus.
