Location: Must be able to work onsite in Middlesex, VT
POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Specialist I will be responsible for supporting the company's quality systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. This role will require strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Lead internal audits to ensure compliance with quality systems and processes.
• Participate in Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Conduct investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and address quality issues.
• Coordinating and facilitating closure of nonconformance records
• Create standard work and procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
• Review and approve documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality requirements.
• Coordinate the creation of Product Release/CoC documentation to ensure timely release of products.
• Participate in calibrations coordination to ensure equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Performs any other function or responsibility as assigned
Additional REQUIRED Qualifications/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field or equivalent experience
• Two years of experience in a quality assurance or related role
• Strong understanding of quality systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS
Additional PREFERRED Qualifications/Skills:
• ASQ certification or equivalent
• Familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements
• Experience with Lean six sigma methodologies
