This role is designed for a passionate music industry professional who can identify, develop, and guide emerging talent toward commercial success.
The position plays a key role in shaping artist careers by discovering new voices, curating creative opportunities, and driving impactful recording projects.
You will work closely with artists, producers, and internal teams to bring innovative music projects from concept to completion.

The role combines strategic vision, relationship building, creative judgment, and hands-on project execution.

Accountabilities:

The Director, A&R - Disruptor Management will lead artist discovery, development, and recording initiatives while building strong relationships across the music ecosystem. This role requires a balance of creative expertise, business understanding, and operational execution.

  • Identify and sign emerging recording artists, songwriters, and producers through industry relationships, demos, online platforms, and live performances.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, representatives, producers, and other creative partners.
  • Negotiate artist-related agreements and support deal-making processes.
  • Source and coordinate collaborations between artists and producers to create impactful music projects.
  • Oversee recording processes, including studio sessions, mixing, and mastering activities.
  • Provide creative direction and feedback on artist material, recordings, and overall artistic development.
  • Evaluate demos, submissions, and digital content to identify promising opportunities.
  • Recommend key tracks and singles while supporting release strategies.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations on new music opportunities to leadership teams.
  • Manage recording budgets, timelines, and project milestones to ensure successful delivery.
  • Attend concerts, artist appearances, rehearsals, and creative sessions as needed to support assigned projects.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong A&R expertise, exceptional relationship-building abilities, and a deep understanding of the modern music landscape. They should be comfortable managing multiple priorities while making informed creative and business decisions.

  • 4+ years of professional experience in A&R, artist development, or a related music industry role.
  • Proven ability to discover, evaluate, and develop emerging talent.
  • Strong artist relations skills with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving creative environment.
  • Experience overseeing budgets, timelines, and production processes.
  • Strong understanding of current music trends, audiences, and commercial opportunities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly as required.
  • Availability to attend live performances, recording sessions, photo shoots, video shoots, and industry events.
  • Strong creative judgment with the ability to provide meaningful artistic feedback.
