About the role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hands-on Casual Duty Manager to help lead the team at The Jump Zone Beckton.

You’ll take responsibility for the park during your allocated shifts, ensuring our guests have a safe, enjoyable and well-organised experience. From supporting busy reception periods to overseeing parties, activities and café service, you’ll lead by example and keep the team working together.

This role suits someone who enjoys taking responsibility, stays calm under pressure and is comfortable making decisions in a busy leisure environment.

Your responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day park operations during your shifts, including opening and closing when required.

• Allocate staff positions, organise breaks and adjust deployment to meet customer demand and operational needs.

• Deliver shift briefings and give the team clear direction, support and feedback.

• Ensure safety briefings, activity supervision and park rules are consistently followed.

• Complete and record operational, equipment, cleanliness and safety checks, taking action where issues arise.

• Respond to accidents, incidents and emergencies in line with training and park procedures, completing accurate reports and escalating concerns.

• Oversee reception, bookings, parties, events and café service to keep the customer experience running smoothly.

• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, resolving issues within your authority.

• Support staff training and help new team members build confidence in their roles.

• Monitor presentation and cleanliness across the park, ensuring issues are addressed promptly.

• Carry out cash handling, till checks and end-of-shift reconciliation where required.

• Encourage bookings, memberships, party upgrades and upcoming events through helpful customer conversations.

• Provide clear handovers and communicate staffing, maintenance and operational concerns to the management team.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience supervising or leading a team in leisure, hospitality, retail or another customer-facing environment.

• Confidence giving instructions, setting standards and holding team members accountable.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• A practical approach to solving problems and the ability to prioritise during busy periods.

• A responsible attitude towards safety, safeguarding and the wellbeing of guests and colleagues.

• Reliability, good timekeeping and a willingness to work alongside the team wherever support is needed.

• Flexibility to cover a range of shifts, with availability agreed in advance.

Experience in a trampoline park, soft play centre or family entertainment venue would be an advantage. First aid and relevant safety training are desirable but not required as these will be provided.
