Occupational Therapy Assistant - Home Health PRN in Fort Myers, Florida at Preferred Care Home Health

Preferred Care Home Health is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy team. The COTA will provide occupational therapy services in the home under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

This is an excellent opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working one-on-one with patients and making a meaningful impact in the home health setting.

• Provide occupational therapy services as planned and delegated by the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Follow each patient’s plan of care and provide appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Educate patients and families on therapy activities and recommendations.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the care team.

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Participate in patient case conferences and agency programs as requested.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards.

• Establish positive working relationships with patients, families, and home care staff.

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

• Current Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.

• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience required.

• Home health experience preferred.

• Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and provide compassionate patient care.

• Professionalism and commitment to patient confidentiality.
