Job Description

SEC - Junior Field Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary: At Artera - SEC

Services, we are seeking a Junior Field Technical Support Engineer to

join our IT team as a hands-on technical resource supporting end users, office

infrastructure, and field technology across one of our operating companies.

This role is built for someone early in their IT career who is ready to develop

technical skills in a hybrid office/field environment, working directly with

local teams while learning the systems and standards that support a complex,

multi-entity organization.

Major Job Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on and remote

support for common technical issues affecting end users, including hardware,

software, network connectivity, and mobile devices, using documented procedures

and knowledge base resources.

Support basic office and

site network infrastructure (workstations, printers, network equipment) under

guidance from senior staff.

Assist users with

operating-company-specific field software (GIS, project management,

safety/compliance applications), escalating unfamiliar tooling issues as

needed.

Conduct routine site visits

as assigned to provide in-person technical support to field and office staff.

Assist with user account

administration and basic device management tasks using tools such as Active

Directory and Microsoft Intune, under guidance from senior staff.

Accurately triage incoming

tickets - resolving straightforward issues directly, and routing issues outside

scope to the correct team or individual (Technical Support Engineer, senior

Field engineers, or other IT functions) with clear, well-documented context.

Follow established

organizational IT standards and requirements, raising any request that falls

outside those standards to senior staff rather than making exceptions

independently.

Accurately document all

incidents, service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the

ITSM system.

Communicate with end users

and field staff professionally and empathetically, maintaining composure and a

positive tone even when users are frustrated.

Actively build technical

knowledge by absorbing feedback from senior engineers and applying it to future

tickets.

Basic Qualifications:

0-3 years of experience in

an IT support or related technical role; candidates with foundational IT

knowledge and strong aptitude will be considered regardless of tenure.

Basic understanding of

Windows/Mac operating systems, common productivity software, and networking

fundamentals.

This is an onsite position

requiring in-office/on-site presence 5 days per week, including periodic travel

to field job sites.

Strong written and verbal

communication skills, with the ability to remain calm, clear, and professional

under pressure.

A demonstrated willingness

to learn, take feedback, and grow technical skills quickly.

CompTIA A+ or equivalent

certification preferred, but not required if aptitude is demonstrated.

Experience in the utility

and/or construction industry is preferred.

Valid driver's license

required for travel to office and field sites.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting

at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift up to

15 pounds at a time
