Position Summary
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Maintenance Houseman to keep public areas clean, tidy, and welcoming. This is primarily a housekeeping role focused on the daily upkeep of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, meeting spaces, and other shared areas. The houseman also reports maintenance concerns and assists with light support tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, and shared spaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, wipe surfaces, and remove rubbish throughout the shift.
Clean and restock public restrooms, including replenishing soap, paper products, and other supplies.
Spot-clean spills, fingerprints, marks, and other visible messes promptly.
Keep entrances, floors, furniture, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces neat and presentable.
Monitor public areas for cleanliness, safety, and supply needs; address issues or report them promptly.
Set up, refresh, and tidy meeting or event spaces as directed.
Safely use and store cleaning products and equipment, following instructions and workplace safety procedures.
Report building issues, damage, or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
Assist with moving light furniture or supplies when needed.
Provide courteous assistance to guests, residents, customers, and coworkers.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous housekeeping, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Able to follow cleaning schedules, instructions, and safety procedures.
Friendly and professional when interacting with the public.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift and bend, reach, and push cleaning equipment.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
