Job Description
SUMMARYAssist the Head Golf Professional in overseeing outside services and golf shop operation.

- 100-yard zone responsible for the appearance of anything within 100 yards of you at all times.
- Greet all players in a friendly manner while being sure that they are fully informed on the 1st tee of pace of play policies, course conditions, yardage markers, rest room locations and all other pertinent information.
- Ensure golf shop, carts, rental clubs, and driving ranges are ready for play each day
- Answer phones and make sure messages are passed on correctly.
- Daily cash handling
- Assist retail associates with sales
- Ensure that outside supervisor is adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure proper feedback.
- Monitor tee sheets for proper set up
- Assist in completing daily financial reports and deposits for the golf shop
- Assist in the training, supervision, and scheduling of staff
- Responsible for the accurate entry of collected guest mailing and email addresses.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESManages one subordinate supervisor who supervises a total of 14 employees. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises four non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’ license and clean MVR for 3 years.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two years related experience. Must be enrolled in PGA of America GPTP, also completed Level 1 GPTP. Prior Golf Operations experience a must. Minimum of two years experience in a leadership position as well as Retail/Inventory control experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Report 3 years.
