This role leads the end-to-end loan servicing function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and a seamless borrower experience from onboarding through payoff. You will oversee servicing operations, payment processing, escrow management, controls, and performance metrics while identifying opportunities to improve processes and scale operations. The position combines operational leadership with hands-on problem solving in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You will coach and develop a high-performing team while using data and technology to drive continuous improvement. Strong cross-functional collaboration will be essential to resolving complex issues and strengthening servicing practices. - Oversee the full loan servicing lifecycle, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent servicing operations from onboarding through payoff.
- Manage payment processing, escrow activities, data integrity, documentation, and other core servicing functions.
- Monitor key performance indicators, identify operational trends, and implement improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Resolve complex servicing issues proactively while maintaining a strong focus on borrower experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory servicing requirements, internal policies, and established controls.
- Lead audits, reporting, documentation reviews, and risk-management activities while staying current with evolving regulatory standards.
- Coach, support, and develop a high-performing servicing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Use data and technology to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational innovation.
- Partner cross-functionally to improve servicing strategies, borrower outcomes, and overall operational performance.
- Promote environmental, social, economic, and racial justice through day-to-day decisions and alignment with organizational values.
- Complete required compliance and IT training, follow established policies and procedures, and remain attentive to suspicious activity or potential fraud.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of loan servicing experience, including commercial loan servicing experience.
- Previous leadership or people-management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of banking and loan operations, servicing practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume operations while balancing speed, accuracy, attention to detail, and service quality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to maintain effective systems, documentation, checklists, and workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with stakeholders at different levels.
- Entrepreneurial and self-directed mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and a track record of delivering measurable results.
