Job Description

Provider Success Lead, Physical Therapy

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Provider Success Lead, Physical Therapy based in the United States.

The Provider Success Lead will strengthen clinical excellence and provider readiness within a fully remote virtual pulmonary rehabilitation program. This role combines cardiopulmonary expertise, clinician mentorship, and educational content development to help physical therapists deliver high-quality care to patients with chronic lung conditions. You will guide new therapists from onboarding through their first patient appointment while supporting experienced providers with complex clinical decisions and day-to-day questions. A key priority is building scalable training programs and self-service resources that empower clinicians to work confidently and independently. By identifying recurring challenges and improving processes, you will help reduce onboarding time and ensure providers have the tools they need to succeed. This is an opportunity for an experienced physical therapist who enjoys teaching, clinical problem-solving, and creating systems that support a growing telehealth care team.

Accountabilities:

The Provider Success Lead will oversee physical therapist onboarding, clinical mentorship, and ongoing education while developing scalable resources that improve provider independence and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Clinical mentorship: Support physical therapists caring for medically complex pulmonary patients, provide guidance on challenging cases, and help clinicians make informed decisions regarding symptom response, oxygen requirements, and treatment progression. Escalate complex issues to the Head of Clinical when appropriate.

  • Clinical education and training: Lead the development and maintenance of clinical education content through BreatheSuite University, ensuring all materials reflect current evidence, clinical best practices, and platform capabilities.

  • Training content production: Research relevant clinical topics and create engaging learning modules using video, audio, AI tools, and other content-creation resources as appropriate.

  • Learning platform administration: Manage training assignments, monitor completion, and ensure all providers remain current with required compliance training.

  • New provider onboarding: Guide newly hired physical therapists through onboarding, coordinating with credentialing, product and engineering, and operations teams to complete licensing requirements, platform access, training modules, and other prerequisites.

  • First-patient readiness: Conduct individual preparation sessions with new therapists before their first patient appointment, address questions, and resolve gaps in workflow or platform knowledge.

  • Ongoing provider support: Serve as a primary contact for new and established physical therapists through scheduled one-on-one sessions and a shared provider support Slack channel. Respond to clinical, documentation, workflow, and platform questions, escalating issues when necessary.

  • Self-service resource development: Turn recurring provider questions and identified knowledge gaps into searchable educational resources that enable clinicians to find answers independently.

  • Content and process updates: Keep training materials aligned with software and platform changes so providers consistently learn the latest workflows and requirements.

  • Provider capacity planning: Monitor clinician availability against patient demand and recommend hiring needs to the Head of Clinical before capacity constraints affect service delivery.

  • Continuous improvement and scalability: Collaborate with the development team to improve how resources are organized and accessed. Track recurring questions, support needs, and the time required for new providers to reach their first patient, using these insights to streamline onboarding and reduce ongoing support requirements.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced physical therapist with strong cardiopulmonary expertise, a passion for clinician development, and a systems-oriented approach to improving clinical operations. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • An active physical therapy (PT) license.

  • At least five years of clinical experience.

  • Demonstrated cardiopulmonary expertise through ABPTS Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Clinical Specialist (CCS) certification, pulmonary or cardiac rehabilitation experience, or significant acute care or ICU experience treating cardiopulmonary patients.

  • Experience mentoring, teaching, or coaching clinicians.

  • Experience developing clinical education materials and translating research and evidence-based practices into practical training.

  • Comfort creating educational content, including recording video and audio and using AI-powered tools and other content-creation technologies.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs), telehealth platforms, and the ability to learn new software quickly.

  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain clinical concepts, workflows, and technical processes clearly.

  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

  • A systems-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify the root causes of recurring problems and develop solutions that prevent them from happening again.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with clinical, operations, credentialing, and technical teams in a remote environment.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Teaching experience within a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

  • Previous experience delivering care through telehealth.

Benefits:

  • Annual salary: $75,000–$125,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Work arrangement: Fully remote position.

  • Employment type: Full-time.

  • Clinical impact: Opportunity to improve care delivery for patients living with chronic pulmonary conditions.

  • Professional contribution: Lead clinical education, mentor fellow clinicians, and build scalable systems that support a growing virtual care team.

  • Inclusive workplace: Commitment to equal employment opportunities and a diverse, inclusive working environment.
