Laboratory Assistant in Aurora, Illinois at Rush Copley Medical Center

Position Summary: Professional, working alongside, and learning from Medical Technologists to perform specific duties that aid in the production of high-quality laboratory testing.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma preferred
• Phlebotomy experience/certification preferred
• Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical science is preferred

• Ability to take direction and learn complex processes
• Ability to work and handle all specimens for testing, including blood, urine, sputum, stool, and tissue
• Ability to act professionally in person and on the telephone
• Strong work ethics and good attendance are necessary
