Job Description
The Landscape Working Foreman is responsible for leading and executing landscape construction projects while actively working alongside the crew. This role oversees daily operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within established timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:- Plan, coordinate, and manage landscape construction projects, including labor, equipment, materials, and scheduling to meet project deadlines
- Supervise, schedule, and direct the daily activities of a landscape construction crew (typically 2–4 employees)
- Delegate tasks effectively to crew members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity at job sites and shop/yard locations
- Conduct on-site safety orientations for new employees and employees transitioning into new roles
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Assist in job site preparation prior to the start of construction projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide work activities
- Operate and oversee the use of tools and equipment, including heavy machinery, chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, and hand tools
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors to ensure quality work and adherence to deadlines
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and stakeholders
- Complete and submit required documentation, including daily reports, equipment inspections, time tracking, and billing summaries
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper care of trucks, trailers, equipment, job sites, and yard areas
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
- Regularly work around heavy equipment and moving vehicles
- Ability to lift, carry, and operate heavy tools and materials
- Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able to pass pre-screening site-specific exams and training material
- Will need to pass a background check
- Valid ID/DL license
