Cook (Fine Dining Restaurant) Job Description

We are partnering with a prestigious luxury hospitality group to recruit professional and service-oriented Cooks to join an elite restaurant operation.

This role is ideal for culinary enthusiasts who are passionate about delivering refined service, understand luxury standards, and take pride in creating memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash, peel, and execute consistent knife cuts (julienne, brunoise, etc.) for vegetables, fruits, and proteins according to the daily prep list and 5-star specifications.

  • Assist Commis Chefs with foundational cooking tasks, including boiling, blanching, par-cooking, and simple assembly of cold or hot appetizers.

  • Maintain the absolute cleanliness, hygiene, and organizational logic of assigned workstations, ensuring all tools are sanitized and ready for the next service phase.

  • Strictly adhere to food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards, including monitoring "Danger Zone" temperatures and maintaining personal hygiene to 5-star levels.

  • Support the line during active service periods by replenishing station components and ensuring timely delivery of prep items to maintain a smooth workflow.

  • Properly label, date, and store all food items using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method to ensure maximum freshness and zero waste.

  • Assist with basic plating and presentation as required.

  • Carry out tasks assigned by senior chefs to support smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements
  • Minimum 1.5 years of experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role within a Fine Dining or High-End restaurant, Michelin-starred establishment, or a signature restaurant within a 5-star luxury hotel.

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage.

  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and cooking techniques.

  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and follow instructions from senior chefs.

  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive and professional attitude.

  • Good personal hygiene and attention to cleanliness.

  • Willingness to work shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
