Direct Support Professional - Enhanced
- Pay: $18 / hour | Based on weekday/weekend shifts
- Sign-on Bonus: $1,000*

Enhanced Direct Support Professional
As an Enhanced Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will support individuals with daily living skills, personal care, health and safety, community engagement, and meaningful activities based on each person’s support plan. You will also document services accurately, follow behavior support strategies, help maintain a clean and safe home, and use a calm, respectful approach when responding to challenging behaviors or crises.

This position requires active, hands-on work in residential and community settings. Duties may include standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, housekeeping tasks, transportation support, and use of electronic documentation systems. Reliable attendance and flexibility are essential because residential services operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Requirements:Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience supporting people with behavioral needs is required for this position.
- Duties may require occasional after-hours work and travel to organizational sites.
- Required training/certifications provided by the organization, including CPR/First Aid.
- Ability to work scheduled shifts, including weekends, holidays, nights, and inclement weather when required.
- Willingness to support individuals with behavioral, physical, and personal care needs.
- Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Stay calm under pressure and use good judgment.
- Have a compassionate approach to personal care.
- Enjoy working with diverse individuals.
- Can handle basic computer and documentation tasks.
- Thrive in dynamic, ever-changing environments.
- Can de-escalate challenging situations with patience and skill.
