Summary
The shared services warehouse manager position plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from suppliers or production shops, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external requirements.
Required Experiences:
• Knowledge of shipping processes and shipping carriers.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment and inventory systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Forklift/Scissor Lift Certified
• Experience in process and employee management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of shipping and receiving employees; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from configurations; counsels, records and disciplines as necessary.
• Oversee daily work and productivity of Warehouse employees.
• Provides appropriate equipment and racking to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials.
• Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the shipping and receiving mission in a safe, effective manner.
• Distribute inbound freight to specific departments and/or recipients.
• Follow inbound delivery protocol per department standards.
• Processes all shipments received and sent out. Maintains documentation of such shipments.
• Ensures power tools and ladder (including but not limited to HILTI and Loaner tools) inventory is current and each piece is checked out to the proper person/department in logs.
• Assist in opening gates and doors Monday thru Friday starting at 06:00.
• Assist in lockup of doors and gates at 18:00 Monday thru Friday.
• Ensure trash service is regular for Serrmi Warehouse only.
• If necessary, delivery of parts to job sites.
• Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the shipping and receiving mission in a safe, effective manner.
• Other assigned duties by leadership team.
Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, and use hands to lift, feel, handle or free objects.
• The employee must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, as well as wet weather.
• The use of common hand tools and occasionally sharp tools are involved.
• The employee frequently is required to talk, hear, and communicate with other employees.
• The employee must be able to move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds often.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• All employees must wear company-approved safety glasses and steel toe boots while in the plant and warehouse areas.
Monday-Friday, 7 AM-4:30 PM
