Job Description

Dedicated Sales Activation Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Dedicated Sales Activation Specialist based in the United States.

The Dedicated Sales Activation Specialist will help new business customers successfully launch their 401(k) plans while delivering a high-quality, supportive experience throughout the onboarding journey. This role combines customer engagement, implementation coordination, process management, and sales activation in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work with a diverse range of businesses, guiding decision-makers through plan setup and helping them understand their retirement savings options. You’ll own customer timelines, maintain activation momentum, address objections, and identify blockers before they impact launch. Success will be measured through activation targets, operational efficiency, customer engagement, and the ability to manage a high volume of implementations simultaneously. The role is ideal for an organized, energetic, people-focused professional who enjoys working toward ambitious goals and continuously improving processes.

Accountabilities:
  • Communicate regularly with new customers to understand their needs, guide them through setup, and help establish their 401(k) plans.
  • Educate customers on retirement plan options and clearly explain the choices available to help their employees save for the future.
  • Manage customer pipelines and timelines to consistently meet monthly activation targets and keep implementations progressing toward launch.
  • Proactively follow established onboarding workflows, talk tracks, and processes to increase activation velocity and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Identify customer objections, operational blockers, and potential delays, taking appropriate action or escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain strong engagement throughout the activation journey, ensuring customers remain informed, supported, and on track.
  • Work closely with sales and account management teams to understand customer needs and ensure a smooth transition from the sales process into implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to resolve customer escalations and address operational challenges.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to keep activation activities moving efficiently and deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with customers, partners, and internal teams, using a needs-driven and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Monitor performance against activation and quality targets, taking proactive steps to address gaps and maintain strong results.
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding processes, workflows, and customer communications as the organization continues to scale.
  • Manage a high-volume workload, potentially supporting the activation of 40–50+ customers per month while maintaining accuracy and service quality.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in customer implementation, onboarding, sales, account management, or a related function, preferably within a SaaS or retirement services environment.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with retirement plan design, particularly 401(k) plans, is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, confidently, and empathetically.
  • A genuine customer-first mindset, with enthusiasm for building relationships and helping business owners achieve their goals.
  • Proven ability to work toward monthly targets and performance metrics in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage numerous customers, deadlines, systems, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong follow-through and proactive communication skills, particularly when keeping customers on schedule or addressing potential blockers.
  • Ability to learn new products, systems, workflows, and industry concepts quickly, with genuine curiosity about the retirement and financial services space.
  • Strong attention to quality and accuracy, particularly when managing customer information and implementation processes.
  • Comfortable navigating different customer systems and interfaces and troubleshooting basic software or technical issues as they arise.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Google Workspace or comparable productivity tools.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to adjust quickly as priorities, processes, and customer needs evolve.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across sales, account management, operations, and leadership teams.
  • High energy, resilience, and a positive attitude suited to a rapidly scaling environment where speed and execution matter.
Benefits:
  • Base salary of $67,000–$70,000 USD, with the specific offer determined by geographic location, relevant skills, experience, and other job-related factors.
  • $15,000 variable target opportunity.
  • Employer-matched 401(k) plan with a dollar-for-dollar match of up to 4% of compensation, immediately vested.
  • $0 plan fees for the employee 401(k) offering.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Competitive paid time off and parental leave.
  • Financial wellness resources and access to financial professionals.
  • Enhanced mental health support for employees and dependents.
  • Fertility healthcare and family-forming benefits.
  • Student loan planning and repayment resources.
  • Monthly work-from-home stipend.
  • Quarterly lifestyle stipend.
  • Virtual team events and team offsites designed to encourage collaboration and connection.
  • Remote work environment within the United States.
  • Opportunities for career growth, professional development, and learning within a high-growth fintech environment.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a mission focused on expanding access to retirement savings for employees at small and medium-sized businesses.
