Job Description

  • Full-time, tenure track position in the Department of Business that includes teaching, research, mentoring of undergraduate students, and service to the university. This position will teach classes on our Arden Hills campus. We are open to hiring an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor for this position. The range for an Assistant Professor is $55,599 - $70,043, Associate Professor is $62,927 - $84,168 and Full Professor is $77,265 - $95,904.

What you'll do

  • Teach the equivalent of 24 credits per year (in person at our St. Paul campus). Courses to be taught may include the following: Managing Organizations and People; Human Resources with Analytics; Staffing, Onboarding, and Training; Strategic Management; and other management and HR-related courses based on experience and as needs arise.
  • Engage in ongoing professional and/or scholarly development.
  • Perform general faculty responsibility including undergraduate student academic advising, departmental responsibilities, student recruitment, and committee assignments.
  • Actively support the University’s commitment to its Christian values and to liberal arts education.
  • Mentor students in their spiritual growth and help make meaningful connections between their academic discipline and Christian faith.
  • Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline.

Experience

  • Professional experience in human resource management is required. Record of successful teaching and/or mentoring experience is required. Participation and evidence of ongoing professional and scholarly development are preferred.

Education

  • An advanced degree in a business- or human resources-related area is required. A terminal degree in business- or human resources-related area is preferred.

Compensation

  • Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience
