Nursing Supervisor (Full Time Days) - Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) / Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Work Location: 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen TX 75013
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Schedule includes two 12-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.) and two 8-hour shifts. Weekends and holidays required.

Texas Health Allen is a leading provider of high-quality, patient-centered care for the surrounding community. Our 12-bed Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit delivers critical and progressive care to a diverse patient population, supported by a flexible 3:1 or 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity.

Our 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) cares for the community's most critically ill patients. Through our intensivist program, board-certified critical care physicians oversee ICU care throughout the day, ensuring expert clinical guidance. They are supported by highly trained critical care nurses and nurse practitioners, who provide continuous, around-the-clock coverage.

What you need:
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
• BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 90 days of hire
• 2-year experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse, committee chair, preceptor) required
• 2-year experience in the PCU Department setting strongly preferred

What you will do:
• Provides bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality of patient care in the IMC and ICU
• Responsible for assisting the manager/director with human resource management to include Evaluations, coaching, mentoring, recruitment, retention, education and orientation.
• Works with manager/director to control costs and manage department budget and productivity.
• Fosters an environment to promote patient and family centered care through purposeful hourly rounding, bedside shift report, updated care boards, and leader rounds.
• Collaborates with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to promote safe individualized care as well as promoting accountability in enhancing the patient experience.
• Assimilates leadership responsibilities on the unit and throughout the entity and/or system.
• Commits to autonomous maintenance and continuous improvement of competence and serves as a role model to other healthcare team members
