This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer in Portugal.
This role sits at the core of a fast-paced, cloud-native engineering environment where scalability, automation, and reliability are essential to daily operations. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving large-scale Kubernetes-based infrastructure across AWS and GCP, supporting high-traffic, data-driven platforms. The position offers strong exposure to modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code, and observability at scale. You will collaborate closely with development teams to improve deployment workflows and ensure seamless production performance. - Design, deploy, and maintain scalable Kubernetes infrastructure using GKE and EKS in production environments.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm, and Ansible to ensure consistency and automation.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, secure, and reliable deployments.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using modern observability tools.
- Support and troubleshoot PostgreSQL and Kafka environments to ensure stability and performance.
- Automate operational tasks and workflows using Python and Bash scripting.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues across cloud and containerized environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers to improve deployment strategies and operational efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide reliable production support when needed.
- 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in production environments.
- Solid expertise with AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
- Proven experience with Terraform, Helm, and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation and tooling.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus and ELK/OpenSearch.
- Good understanding of PostgreSQL and Kafka operations in production contexts.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, distributed engineering environment.
