Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Working in both the Adult and Pediatric Emergency Department is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the health care team.
Pool Level 1 time requirement:
1 shift per pay period and 1 weekend shift per every two pay periods (bi-weekly) for a minimum of 3 shifts per every 2 pay periods.
Must work 2 of the following days each calendar year: Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Friday following Thanksgiving, Halloween, Super Bowl Sunday, or a NJEA Teacher Conference Day.
Minimum Requirements
• NJ Licensed RN
• 2 years Emergency department RN experience
• BLS, ACLS & PALS (or able to obtain within 6 months), IV, Glucometer, and Dysrhythmia certifications
• Intermediate computer skills, excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the ability to lift, push and pull
Preferred Requirements:
• BSN
• CEN & CPEN
• Previous cardiac monitoring experience
Salary: $51.15 hourly for weekdays and $54.65 for weekends plus shift differentials
