Principal Product Manager - Benefits

In this role, you will define and shape how millions of members understand and use their healthcare benefits through a unified, intuitive digital experience. You will sit at the intersection of product strategy, healthcare complexity, and platform innovation, translating fragmented benefits data into clear, actionable member journeys. The role carries significant scope and visibility, owning end-to-end strategy for benefits discovery, eligibility navigation, and enrollment experiences across medical, pharmacy, and ancillary programs. You will work across engineering, design, data, clinical, and operations teams to deliver highly reliable and scalable solutions. As a principal-level leader, you will drive cross-organizational alignment, mentor other product managers, and influence executive-level decisions. This is a high-impact opportunity to simplify a historically complex system and improve access to care at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and lead the product vision and roadmap for member-facing benefits experiences across medical, pharmacy, and ancillary programs.
  • Own the end-to-end strategy for benefits discovery, eligibility navigation, enrollment, and related administrative workflows.
  • Build and maintain a unified benefits data model, aligning legacy systems into a single source of truth in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
  • Translate business priorities and client commitments into actionable delivery plans with clear sequencing, trade-offs, and dependency management.
  • Develop and track success metrics for benefits experiences, including engagement, accuracy, completion rates, and operational performance indicators.
  • Partner with implementation, clinical, and support teams to ensure smooth product launches, adoption, and change management readiness.
  • Represent the benefits domain in executive forums, providing clear narratives, strategic recommendations, and data-driven insights.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership of complex, multi-team platforms or enterprise-scale products.
  • Strong expertise in healthcare benefits, including eligibility, plan design, deductibles, accumulators, coverage rules, and claims data.
  • Proven success delivering B2B2C or enterprise SaaS products with high reliability, configurability, and operational complexity.
  • Experience leading cross-functional, cross-platform initiatives with strict deadlines and business-critical outcomes.
  • Exceptional product sense with the ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive user experiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influence skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous environments and drive clarity, alignment, and execution.
  • Experience in healthcare technology or startup environments is a plus.
