In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor helping enterprise and federal customers strengthen their cybersecurity operations and maximize the value of advanced network detection technologies. You will work at the intersection of networking, security operations, and threat intelligence, supporting deployments in complex and high-security environments. Your work will involve hands-on technical configuration, validation, and optimization of security infrastructure while also enabling SOC teams through training and knowledge transfer. You will design and implement detection content, integrations, and workflows that improve visibility and incident response. Operating in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with engineering, product, and customer teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a security-focused engineer who thrives in customer-facing environments and enjoys solving complex operational challenges.
In this role, you will be responsible for deploying, validating, and optimizing advanced cybersecurity and network detection solutions within customer environments while ensuring strong operational performance and security posture. You will act as a technical bridge between customers and internal engineering teams, supporting incident investigations, improving SOC workflows, and enabling effective use of detection and logging technologies.
- Support customers in strengthening their cybersecurity posture through process optimization, system health assessments, and operational improvements
- Lead technical validation, configuration, and testing of deployed security infrastructure and network detection systems
- Design and implement integrations with ecosystem tools such as SIEM platforms, packet brokers, SOAR systems, and log pipelines
- Develop detection content, threat hunting queries, dashboards, and automated workflows to improve security visibility and response
- Investigate incidents and contribute to root cause analysis, outage reviews, and corrective action planning
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to customer SOC and engineering teams
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve features, integrations, and platform capabilities
- Produce documentation, reports, and playbooks to support security operations and data onboarding processes
This role requires strong hands-on expertise in cybersecurity, networking, and SOC operations, combined with the ability to engage directly with customers and senior technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings a mix of technical depth, scripting ability, and operational experience in complex enterprise environments.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security engineering roles
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and traffic analysis
- Experience working with Linux, Windows, and Unix environments in production settings
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (especially Splunk) and log analysis tools
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
- Familiarity with detection engineering, threat hunting, and incident response workflows
- Ability to design and troubleshoot complex distributed security and monitoring systems
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences
- Security or networking certifications are highly desirable
- Experience in customer-facing or professional services environments is a strong plus
