This entry-level position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is eager to develop their skills in hotel engineering and facilities maintenance. Working alongside an experienced Engineering team, you will assist with the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of hotel systems and facilities while gaining valuable knowledge and experience in hospitality operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs, including minor plumbing, electrical, painting, drywall, furniture, flooring, and HVAC-related tasks.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance work orders.
  • Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance concerns to Engineering leadership.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to support hotel operations and protect hotel assets.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of engineering workspaces, tools, and equipment.
  • Support meeting room setups, special events, and other operational needs as required.
  • Assist with exterior property maintenance and other duties assigned by Engineering leadership.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

OTHER:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with policies and procedures for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities.
