Job Description

VP, Global Delivery Location: Remote (United States)
The Vice President, Global Delivery is responsible for the operational execution, staffing strategy, delivery governance, and overall performance of Thunder’s global delivery organization. This leader owns the execution engine of the company, ensuring projects are delivered with high quality, strong margin performance, predictable forecasting, and disciplined operational governance across all regions, practices, and customer portfolios.
The VP, Global Delivery leads Thunder’s PMO, Resource Management, and Regional Delivery organizations while partnering closely with Architecture, Practice Leadership, Account Delivery/Customer Success, Sales, and Finance to ensure delivery execution aligns with company objectives, customer outcomes, and financial targets. This role serves as the executive owner for delivery execution and operational accountability, ensuring Thunder maintains a scalable, high-performing delivery organization capable of supporting rapid growth without compromising delivery quality, margin integrity, or customer trust.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Delivery Leadership & Operational Execution
  • Lead and scale Thunder’s global delivery organization, including PMO, Resource Management, and Regional Delivery Leads
  • Establish operational accountability across delivery teams for execution quality, forecast accuracy, margin performance, and customer outcomes
  • Drive organizational consistency, operational maturity, and delivery excellence across all delivery functions
  • Ensure delivery operations scale effectively across multiple practices, technologies, industries, and regions

Resource Management & Utilization Optimization
  • Own company-wide staffing strategy and resource allocation across all delivery portfolios
  • Maximize global resource utilization by optimizing staffing across regional, vertical, and practice silos
  • Partner with Practice Leadership and Architecture leadership to align staffing capabilities with delivery demand and strategic growth areas
  • Establish capacity planning processes to proactively manage hiring, bench health, contractor utilization, and delivery demand forecasting
  • Drive balanced utilization performance while protecting delivery quality and employee sustainability

Delivery Performance & Margin Management
  • Own operational delivery performance across all active customer engagements
  • Drive project teams to achieve delivery margin targets, forecast accuracy expectations, and delivery quality standards
  • Establish operational governance for project health reviews, delivery escalations, staffing risks, and financial performance management
  • Partner with Finance and executive leadership to improve predictability in revenue recognition, staffing efficiency, and project economics
  • Ensure delivery teams proactively manage scope, staffing, risks, dependencies, and change control throughout project execution

Escalation Management & Delivery Recovery
  • Serve as the executive escalation leader for at-risk projects, operational delivery issues, and resource conflicts
  • Lead recovery planning and operational intervention efforts to restore project health and protect customer relationships
  • Drive accountability and corrective action plans for projects experiencing margin erosion, delivery delays, forecast variance, or execution risks
  • Partner with Account Delivery and executive leadership on strategic customer escalations and executive communications

Delivery Governance & Methodology Enforcement
  • Ensure all delivery teams consistently follow Thunder’s unified Strike Methodology, governance standards, and operational controls
  • Drive adoption of delivery governance frameworks, delivery lifecycle standards, and operational best practices
  • Establish accountability mechanisms for methodology compliance, project health reporting, staffing governance, and operational execution
  • Partner with Architecture and Practice Leadership to continuously improve delivery processes, tooling, and operational standards

Cross Functional Leadership & Strategic Alignment
  • Partner closely with Sales, Account Delivery, Architecture, Practices, and Finance to ensure alignment between sold solutions and delivery execution
  • Support executive leadership on organizational design, operational scaling strategies, and delivery transformation initiatives
  • Drive alignment between business growth objectives and operational delivery capacity
  • Reinforce clear accountability boundaries between sales, customer management, architecture, and delivery operations

Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of overall experience in enterprise consulting, systems integration, professional services, or delivery leadership
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within the Salesforce consulting ecosystem
  • Proven experience leading large scale global delivery organizations within a consulting or systems integration environment
  • Strong background managing PMOs, resource management organizations, delivery operations, or multi-region delivery teams
  • Experience managing complex enterprise portfolios with accountability for utilization, margin performance, forecasting, and delivery governance
  • Demonstrated success leading operational turnaround, delivery recovery, and escalation management efforts
  • Strong operational leadership and organizational management capability, with experience operating with multiple executive stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of professional services economics, utilization management, and delivery margin performance
  • Strong executive communication and escalation management skills, with the ability to lead through influence across Delivery, Sales, Architecture, Practices, and Finance
  • Strong decision making, prioritization, and accountability management capability
  • Excellent organizational, staffing, and operational governance skills
  • Strong understanding of delivery methodologies, project governance, and systems integration delivery models
  • Ability to build scalable operational processes while maintaining execution discipline
