Maintenance Technician in Lewisville, Texas at River Valley Communities

About Us

Heritage Towers Apartments is a 282-unit community in Lewisville, managed by River Valley Communities. We are looking for a technician who wants to grow in their position and along with our growing company. We take pride in a well-kept property and responsive service to our residents. We are building a maintenance team that does the job right the first time.

Responsibilities

Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally, and log all work orders in our property management system
Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues
Perform make-ready work on vacant units, including repairs, paint, drywall patching, and fixture and hardware replacement
Carry out preventive maintenance on building systems, common areas, and equipment on a set schedule
Assist with unit, building, and grounds inspections, including preparation for HUD/NSPIRE physical inspections
Change locks and rekey units, and replace smoke and CO detectors
Keep common areas, amenities, and grounds clean, safe, and in good repair
Take part in the after-hours emergency on-call rotation
Report safety hazards, property damage, and unusual conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager
Treat residents with courtesy and respect in every interaction

What You Bring

EPA Section 608 certification
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair
A valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in outdoor conditions
Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset
Comfort using a smartphone or tablet to manage work orders

Preferred

Bilingual in English and Spanish
EPA Section 608 certification
CAMT (Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician) or CPO (Certified Pool Operator)
Experience with HUD / NSPIRE regulations
