Project Manager in Cypress, California at WKS Restaurant Group

WKS Restaurant Group is a licensed franchisee of Wendy's, El Pollo Loco, Denny's, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Blaze Pizza concepts. We are looking for an experienced construction professional who does things the right way and takes pride in what he/she does. The selected candidate will work closely with the Vice President of Facilities and Construction and an Assistant Project Manager, be responsible for the following:

• Manage conversion, new construction and remodel projects for all brands
• Supervise the architect and engineers from plan development through permit approval
• Oversee the Contractor and vendor bidding process, analyze proposals, make recommendations for award and manage the GC and vendor relationships from award through project completion.
• Purchase and coordinate installation of owner-provided items
• Maintain cost control and budgeting for construction and remodel projects, including looking for ways to reduce costs and improve quality of work.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure efficient and smooth turnover following completion of the project
• Supervise contractors on smaller projects when General Contractor not used
• Provide support to Facilities Maintenance department as required

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Relevant Bachelor's degree experience preferred
• Must possess valid driver's license and be able to pass pre-employment testing
• Minimum five years of experience in project & construction management
• Strong PC and technical skills including Word, Outlook, Excel
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented
• Travel required as necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detailed understanding of construction procedures and materials and project management principles
• Restaurant-specific experience a plus

Compensation : DOE plus variable bonuses based upon company and individual performance
