Primary Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and assemble wooden skids to match specific product or shipping dimensions
• Cut and nail skids together based on provided specifications
• Utilize the best pieces of wood to minimize waste
• Ensure skids are built to company standards for quality and durability
• Follow skid orders, drawings, or verbal instructions for sizing requirements
• Use power tools and equipment such as circular saw, pneumatic nail guns, etc.
• Track stock in department including lumber, nails, and any shipping materials
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Skills:

• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Experience in operating power tools
• Able to sustain continuous movement
• Ability to bend at waist safely
• Able to stand for more than 6 continuous hours
• Able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must have positive attitude
• Must be reliable
• Attention to detail
