Are you someone who enjoys working around vehicles, staying active, and working outdoors? America's Auto Auction is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our Lot Operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the automotive industry or gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Move, stage, and organize vehicles throughout the auction lot safely and efficiently.
- Prepare vehicles for auction by ensuring they are clean, properly tagged, and ready for sale.
- Scan, tag, and label vehicles accurately using company equipment.
- Manage vehicle keys and identification tags according to company procedures.
- Locate, start, and transport vehicles to support daily operations and auction-day activities.
- Help maintain the appearance of the auction grounds, customer parking areas, and entrances.
- Assist the Service Department and other operational teams as needed.
- Inspect vehicles for obvious damage or safety concerns and report issues promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies, traffic flow procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support auction operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded.
- Comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle makes and models is helpful but not required.
- Previous experience in automotive, warehouse, landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor is a plus—but we're willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to repeatedly enter and exit vehicles.
- Ability to bend, stoop, climb, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of cars, trucks, and SUVs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and changing temperatures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
