Position Summary

Jensen Metal Products is seeking a detail-oriented General Laborer / Material Handler to support our laser cutting operations. This role is responsible for removing finished parts from laser-cut sheets, verifying part accuracy against work orders, maintaining accurate counts, and delivering parts to the correct production departments. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to quality and accuracy.

Schedule: We are hiring for both 1st & 2nd shift.

1st Shift: M-Th, 5:00am - 3:30pm with occasional OT on Fridays.

2nd Shift: M-TH, 3:30pm - 2:00am with occasional OT on Fridays. 2nd Shift will earn an additional $1.50/hr. shift premium.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Remove (de-nest) laser-cut parts from metal sheets safely and efficiently
  • Verify parts against work orders, prints, and production documentation
  • Ensure part counts are accurate and properly documented
  • Identify and report quality concerns, defects, or damaged parts
  • Sort, stage, and deliver material to the appropriate departments
  • Maintain material flow throughout the manufacturing process
  • Enter production and inventory data into the ERP system (Global Shop)
  • Communicate effectively with laser operators, production personnel, and supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Assist with inventory control and material handling activities as required
  • Follow all quality, safety, and company procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous manufacturing or material handling experience preferred
  • Technical assembly or fabrication experience is highly desirable
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Experience using ERP systems, preferably Global Shop, is a plus
  • Must be able to drive a forklift

Physical Demands

  • Frequently lift, move, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms
  • Excellent vision, including the ability to inspect parts for defects and verify accuracy
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform other physical tasks associated with manufacturing operations
