- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes across a portfolio of software applications.
- Translate SDLC standards into practical workflows within Jira and related engineering tools.
- Configure and manage Jira projects, issue structures, workflows, permissions, dashboards, reports, and automation rules.
- Serve as the primary administrator for Jira and Confluence, ensuring systems remain scalable, efficient, and aligned with engineering needs.
- Design and optimize workflows that support planning, development, testing, release management, and delivery processes.
- Build automation solutions that reduce manual work, improve data quality, and increase operational visibility.
- Implement AI-driven automation initiatives to improve reporting, operational efficiency, and engineering processes.
- Manage Confluence documentation, templates, release notes, retrospectives, and knowledge resources.
- Configure and maintain Productboard structures, integrations, roadmaps, and reporting views.
- Support Jira and Productboard synchronization to ensure product priorities accurately reflect engineering execution.
- Develop practical documentation, onboarding resources, and hands-on guidance to help teams adopt tools and processes effectively.
- Build and maintain delivery dashboards and operational reports to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with engineering, product, quality, and leadership teams to improve processes through data-driven insights.
- Support onboarding and integration of newly acquired engineering teams by standardizing tools and workflows.
- 7+ years of experience in engineering operations, engineering management, program management, product operations, or a similar technical operations role.
- Strong hands-on experience administering Jira and Confluence, including workflows, automations, dashboards, permissions, and reporting.
- Proven ability to design and maintain scalable SDLC processes within real-world engineering environments.
- Experience working directly with engineers and technical teams to solve workflow, tooling, and delivery challenges.
- Ability to independently configure systems, make operational decisions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Kanban, hybrid delivery models, and software development practices.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and training skills with the ability to simplify complex processes.
- Experience building advanced Jira automations, including complex rules, branching logic, and conditional workflows, is preferred.
- Familiarity with Productboard administration and Jira/Productboard integrations is an asset.
- Experience consolidating tools and processes following acquisitions is preferred.
- Background in software development, QA, DevOps, or SRE is considered an advantage.
- Experience implementing AI-based operational automation solutions is highly valued.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use operational data to drive improvements.
- Competitive annual compensation ranging from CAD $130,000 to $140,000, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
