Customer Service Representative (CSR) – Custom Print & Mailing Specialist
Do you enjoy juggling multiple projects, building strong customer relationships, and seeing a project come to life from concept to completion? BR Printers is looking for an organized, customer-focused professional to join our team as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) supporting our custom print, card set, and mailing operations.
In this role, you'll serve as the primary liaison between our customers, estimating team, and production departments, ensuring every project moves efficiently through the production process while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
What You'll DoCustomer Communication & Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Build strong customer relationships by understanding project needs and providing exceptional service.
- Translate customer requirements into detailed production specifications.
- Provide project updates, coordinate proof approvals, and communicate production timelines.
- Resolve customer questions, revisions, and concerns with professionalism and urgency.
- Gather complete project specifications for submission to the estimating department.
- Present pricing proposals and estimates to customers.
- Follow up on quotations and assist customers in moving projects into production.
- Recommend material or production alternatives to meet customer budgets and timelines.
- Partner daily with prepress, pressroom, bindery, finishing, and mailing departments.
- Monitor job progress to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Coordinate customer proof approvals before production begins.
- Communicate customer changes, revisions, and rush requests to production teams promptly.
- Assist in resolving production issues while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain accurate job jackets and work orders.
- Route production paperwork, proofs, samples, and materials throughout the facility.
- Verify all production specifications including paper stock, sizes, finishing requirements, and mailing instructions.
- Prepare billing documentation, shipping paperwork, and mailing records upon project completion.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical customer files.
Requirements: Who You Are
- Minimum of 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferably within printing, commercial mailing, packaging, publishing, or graphic arts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple custom projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working between an office environment and the production floor throughout the day.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to quickly learn estimating, project tracking, and production management software.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in commercial printing or print manufacturing.
- Knowledge of digital and offset printing processes.
- Familiarity with paper stocks, finishing methods, and bindery operations.
- Understanding of USPS mailing regulations and postal documentation.
- Experience reviewing print proofs and production specifications.
- Background using MIS, ERP, or print workflow software.
- Experience coordinating multiple deadlines in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Full-Time | Day Shift 8:00am-4:30pm
