Job Description

Industrial Maintenance Technician- Mechanical
Qualifications
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery, automation systems, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and production equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, motor controls, VFDs, sensors, and industrial networking preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to support production and maintenance objectives.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand technical documentation, safety procedures, and work instructions.
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Must possess manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment safely.
• Capable of working safely at elevated heights and from aerial lifts or elevated platforms.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust, vibration, and exposure to industrial processes.
• Must be able to wear and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirators, and fall protection equipment when required.
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
• Position work hours are Monday-Friday but may have to work nights and weekends as required (outages, emergencies).

Schedule and Availability
• Standard schedule is 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• This position supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation and requires flexibility to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs dictate. This position will be primarily based on 1st shift unless specified but applicants must be willing to work other shifts as required.
• Must be capable of participating in on-call rotation and responding to after-hours maintenance emergencies.
• Availability to work extended hours during equipment failures, plant shutdowns, startup activities, and other critical production events is required.

Responsibilities
• Performs advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial production equipment and facility systems.
• Independently diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation-related failures.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, sensors, motor controls, drives, and industrial communication systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and up time.
• Repair, replace, align, and install motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, and other production equipment.
• Support equipment upgrades, new equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation within the maintenance management system.
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and management teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Valid Driver’s License required
