Presbyterian Village North is immediately hiring a Security Officer.
Shift: Full Time - Flexible for all three, including weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better
Is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
Ensure resident/patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
Maintain good attendance record
Patrol grounds to ensure no one is on the property without permission
Stays in contact with receptionist and other personnel to ensure safety of property
Reacts to 911 calls to meet ambulance or fire department at the front gate and escort them to the appropriate building
Assists residents who need special care to navigate the property
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language
Must be able to adjust to changes in shift schedule
Must be capable of passing an FBI background investigation to facilitate licensing by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau
Previous experience with security/ or other building services required
Able to communicate with the elderly population, other staff members, and visitors
Ability to effectively resolve problems
Ability to gain trust of the resident population
Ability to react quickly to unknown circumstances and remain calm
Ability to perform Essential Duties
Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with disabilities and hospice patients
Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities
Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures
