About the Role
SBC Innovations is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join our team supporting the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA) Enterprise Operations, Platforms, and Solutions (EOPS) program. You will provide 24/7 Tier 2 technical helpdesk and operational support for EOUSA and IT Systems Managers across 94 U.S. Attorney Offices nationwide, while monitoring and managing critical IT infrastructure in a Network Operations Center environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 remote, over-the-phone administration, support, and technical assistance to EOUSA and USAO IT Systems Manager staff
- Perform steady-state administration and monitoring of enterprise management systems, including troubleshooting, security patch installation, patch management, hardware/software upgrades, data storage and retrieval, and system optimization
- Create, modify, and verify backup jobs; perform data replication and backup media rotations
- Administer and support a Windows Active Directory environment, including file/print servers, domain controllers, application servers, and media storage systems
- Manage AD/DC components: DNS, Organizational Units, AD Sites and subnets, GPOs, ACLs, and account lifecycle (create, disable, delete accounts; manage DC groups; password resets)
- Support enterprise-wide desktop and laptop image deployments and routine system updates
- Execute routine software patch updates via enterprise management systems such as BigFix and Microsoft SCCM
- Monitor and support enterprise tools including HP SIM, SolarWinds, CommVault, vCenter, NICE Vision Control Net, EVOIP Nagios, SCCM, SCSM, SCOM, Splunk, Cisco PRIME, Dell OpenManage Essentials, and customized SharePoint sites
- Support steady-state, enterprise-wide SCCM deployments and systems backup, restore, and recovery procedures
- Monitor systems for potential problems, resolve issues promptly, and ensure compliance with enterprise-wide standards
- Assist with hardware installations, wiring/cabling support, equipment rack relocations, and power source support
- Multitask effectively while handling issues via phone calls and email simultaneously
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of IT experience AND a minimum of 1 year of IT Help Desk support experience in a Windows Active Directory environment; OR
- A 4-year degree in an IT field of study AND a minimum of 1 year of IT Help Desk support experience in a Windows Active Directory environment
- Solid working knowledge of networks, servers, and desktop applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Server technologies and enterprise-level server and desktop systems
- U.S. Citizenship required; must meet DOJ Residency Requirement
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (minimum BI investigation); must be willing to hold up to Top Secret if required
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Fundamentals or CompTIA certifications
- Experience supporting federal government or DOJ environments
- Hands-on experience with SCCM, BigFix, SolarWinds, Splunk, or CommVault
