About the Role
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of the
Company's subsidiaries, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and submission of
financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
This role plays a key part in supporting the financial operations of the Company's retail store
subsidiaries through month-end closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong technical accounting knowledge, and is
capable of managing multiple entities in a fast-paced, growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & General Accounting
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for subsidiary
companies.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals,
and account reconciliations.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate and complies with U.S. GAAP and company
accounting policies.
• Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances.
Subsidiary & Retail Operations Accounting
• Oversee the accounting activities of retail store subsidiaries, ensuring accurate recording
of daily transactions.
• Review inventory valuation, inventory reconciliations, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Review payroll accounting, payroll reconciliations, and related journal entries.
• Review fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure
transactions.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, ensuring timely resolution of
discrepancies.
Account Reconciliation & Compliance
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all significant accounts are properly
supported.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit
requests.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate accounting policies, and statutory
reporting requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Coordinate with headquarters in Korea and cross-functional teams regarding financial
reporting, accounting matters, and subsidiary operations.
• Serve as the primary accounting liaison between the U.S. subsidiary and the Korea
headquarters.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or retail
environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or
QuickBooks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to
detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience preparing financial statements for multiple subsidiaries.
• Experience in retail accounting, including inventory, COGS, and payroll accounting.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits.
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP implementation and process improvement
initiatives.
