Job Description
Job Brief:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and finished products according to engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and assembly specifications.
- Follow established assembly procedures, production schedules, and quality requirements.
- Inspect components and completed assemblies to ensure proper fit, function, dimensions, and workmanship.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
- Identify and report defective materials, assembly issues, or quality concerns.
- Perform adjustments, alignment, fastening, and basic troubleshooting as required.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
- Work closely with Machine Operators, Quality personnel, Engineers, and other production team members.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts to improve product quality, efficiency, and safety.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical instructions.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree is a plus.
