This is a high-impact opportunity to lead AI transformation across a global industrial organization.
The role combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution, taking AI initiatives from opportunity identification through deployment and measurable value realization.
You will partner with business teams to identify and prioritize use cases that can improve efficiency, decision-making, automation, and operational performance.
A key part of the role is educating and empowering teams to adopt AI responsibly and effectively within their areas of expertise.
You will work across business functions, technical teams, executives, and external partners to accelerate delivery and adoption.
The position offers significant autonomy and visibility, with direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape the organization's evolving AI roadmap.
Success will be measured through tangible outcomes, adoption, operational impact, and return on investment.
- Define and execute the AI transformation roadmap in alignment with the broader digitalization and AI strategy.
- Identify, structure, evaluate, and prioritize AI use cases based on expected business impact, feasibility, and scalability.
- Own AI initiatives end-to-end, from opportunity discovery and business-case development through implementation, deployment, adoption, and value realization.
- Translate business challenges and requirements into practical AI, automation, and data-driven solutions that can be deployed effectively within business operations.
- Contribute directly to technical implementation, including automation, data pipelines, AI applications, and other AI-enabled solutions.
- Train, educate, and empower employees to use AI tools responsibly and effectively within their respective functions.
- Define and monitor KPIs covering implementation progress, adoption, business impact, and ROI.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and external technology or implementation partners to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
- Prepare executive-level decision memos, business cases, recommendations, and progress updates to support investment and prioritization decisions.
- Lead the rollout and organizational adoption of AI solutions while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and further transformation.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in transformation, program management, or a comparable role involving end-to-end delivery responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to take AI or technology use cases from initial concept through implementation and measurable business outcomes.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI solutions, rather than working exclusively in conceptual, advisory, or strategy-focused capacities.
- Strong understanding of AI deployment and practical applications of AI within business environments.
- Solid knowledge of modern development approaches, including Python or comparable programming technologies.
- Experience with AI and LLM-based solutions and tools such as Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Claude, or comparable platforms.
- Ability to translate complex business problems into scalable AI, automation, or data-driven solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions, organizational levels, and geographic regions.
- Structured, pragmatic, analytical, and results-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience in manufacturing, intralogistics, industrial automation, or a related environment is advantageous.
- Understanding of data structures, such as spare-parts data, or industrial technologies such as PLCs is a plus.
- Fluent English communication skills; German language proficiency is an advantage.
- Highly self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable taking initiative, setting ambitious goals, and following through on complex challenges.
- Annual compensation range of $150,000–$195,000.
- Medical and dental insurance premiums fully covered for employees and eligible dependents.
- 401(k) retirement plan with a generous company match.
- Company-paid life insurance and long-term disability coverage.
- Additional vision, accident, and critical illness insurance options.
- Generous paid time off to support work-life balance.
- Paid company holidays and additional flexible days.
- Eligibility for a performance-based bonus through the Target Agreement Plan.
- Opportunity to lead high-visibility AI transformation initiatives with significant organizational impact.
- Collaborative environment focused on innovation, teamwork, quality, and continuous improvement.
