SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Systems Engineer II.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Description: SEACORP's VA/OR Engineering group is seeking a versatile Systems Engineer to oversee the architecture, creation, and maintenance of sophisticated hybrid software, web, and hardware products. This role is a cross-functional hybrid, requiring the mindset of a Lead Systems Analyst, the technical depth of a Network Engineer who can program, and the rigor of a Software Engineer who can manage complex networks. The successful candidate will drive products from initial conceptual specifications through final rollout and long-term maintenance, ensuring the seamless integration of network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Lifecycle Management: Lead the development cycle for resilient software, hardware, and web applications, encompassing specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
- Technical Feasibility & Innovation: Act as the primary technical validator for new concepts. You will be tasked with taking high-level ideas and performing "plausibility checks"—determining if a concept is technically viable, identifying potential blockers, and proposing the most efficient path to implementation.
- Systems Integration: Integrate diverse network operating systems and hardware devices to support sophisticated web-based products.
- Execution & Ownership: Take full ownership of projects from the "idea" phase to the "production" phase, ensuring a high level of follow-through and operational stability.
Technical Requirements:
- Hybrid Engineering Skillset: Demonstrated ability to bridge the gap between network infrastructure and software development.
Preferred Qualities:
- Self-Starter Mindset: Ability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision, identifying needs before they become problems.
- Relentless Follow-Through: A proven track record of seeing complex, ambiguous projects through to completion.
- Analytical Curiosity: A passion for dissecting new ideas and determining "how" to make them work.
- Linux Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Linux environments, including administration, scripting, and optimization.
- Palantir Maven Experience: Proven experience with the Maven Smart System (MSS). Candidates must understand the AI-powered capabilities of the MSS platform and its application within complex data environments (specifically within the context of DoD/Project Maven frameworks).
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Experience: 0-3 years of relevant engineering experience.
