This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-wide master data governance solutions within an SAP S/4HANA environment. You will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of critical business data across multiple domains, enabling reliable reporting and efficient business processes. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, you will translate data governance requirements into scalable SAP MDG solutions. The position involves configuring workflows, data models, and business rules while ensuring strong integration with SAP S/4HANA and surrounding systems. You will also contribute to data quality initiatives, migration efforts, and continuous improvement of governance frameworks. This is a highly collaborative role where attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strong stakeholder engagement are essential to success.
- Design and implement SAP MDG solutions across key domains including Business Partner (Customer/Vendor), Material Master, and Finance (Chart of Accounts, Cost Centers).
- Configure SAP MDG components such as data models, workflows, UI, validation rules, and business rules (BRF+).
- Define, maintain, and enhance enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data consistency and compliance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and design master data processes, approval workflows, and governance structures.
- Implement data validation, derivation rules, duplicate checks, and data quality controls across master data domains.
- Support integration between SAP MDG, SAP S/4HANA, and external systems using DRF (Data Replication Framework).
- Participate in data migration, data cleansing, testing (SIT/UAT), and defect resolution activities to ensure solution quality.
- Provide documentation, end-user training, and ongoing support for master data governance processes.
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP experience with at least one full-cycle SAP MDG implementation.
- Strong expertise in SAP MDG architecture, frameworks, and master data domains (Business Partner, Material, Finance).
- Solid experience with SAP MDG configuration including data modeling, workflow setup, and BRF+ rules.
- Good understanding of DRF (Data Replication Framework) and integration with SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in complex data environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Understanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures and core business processes.
- Preferred: SAP MDG or S/4HANA certification, experience with Central Finance or multi-system landscapes, SAP Fiori/UI5 exposure, ETL/data migration tools, and SAP Activate methodology.
- Strong focus on data governance, data quality, process design, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000 depending on experience and location.
