Job Description

Sage Intacct Sales Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sage Intacct Sales Engineer in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, technology, and consultative sales, serving as the technical driver behind successful Sage Intacct implementations in mid-market organizations. You will act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, translating complex financial and operational needs into tailored ERP solutions. Working closely with Account Executives, you will shape discovery conversations, deliver high-impact product demonstrations, and guide solution design from early-stage qualification through close. The position requires a strong understanding of finance operations and ERP systems, particularly within growing organizations managing multi-entity complexity. You will also play a key role in competitive positioning, helping prospects understand why Sage Intacct is the right fit. This is a fully remote, high-impact role where your technical and financial expertise directly influence revenue growth and new client acquisition. It is ideal for someone who thrives in pre-sales environments and enjoys bridging business needs with software capabilities.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead structured discovery sessions with CFOs, controllers, and finance leaders to identify operational pain points and business requirements.
  • Translate customer needs into Sage Intacct solutions, including multi-entity accounting, revenue recognition, AP automation, and reporting configurations.
  • Design tailored solution architectures that account for integrations, data migration, and third-party ecosystem tools.
  • Deliver customized, executive-level product demonstrations aligned to specific industry and client use cases.
  • Conduct proof-of-concept sessions for complex or competitive opportunities to validate solution fit.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to support pipeline development, deal strategy, and technical validation.
  • Provide competitive insights and positioning against platforms such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Acumatica, and Business Central.
  • Develop vertical-specific demo assets, objection-handling materials, and technical sales content.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure accurate pre-sales scoping and seamless post-sale transition.
  • Share product expertise and coach sales teams to improve overall technical fluency and deal execution.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Sage Intacct in pre-sales, consulting, or implementation roles.
  • Strong expertise across core Intacct modules including GL, AP, AR, multi-entity, reporting, and dashboards.
  • Proven ability to deliver tailored, executive-level software demonstrations.
  • Strong discovery and consultative selling skills, with the ability to engage senior finance stakeholders effectively.
  • Solid understanding of mid-market finance operations, including close processes, consolidations, and audit requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent opportunities in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP competitive landscape and positioning strategies.
  • Experience in a VAR or consulting environment is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of integrations, APIs, and ecosystem applications is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical and financial concepts.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Generous paid time off and company holidays.
  • Remote-first work environment.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Exposure to a high-growth, people-first culture backed by a leading services group.
