Description: Join the Team at The Point Surf Park!

The Point Surf Park is gearing up to bring an exciting surf experience to Florida's Treasure Coast, and we're looking for a talented, hands-on Surf Operations Manager to help build and lead our team!

This is an opportunity to get involved from the ground up, help establish operations, and play an important role in delivering a safe, organized, and exceptional surf park experience.

You don't need to be a surfer to succeed in this role. We're looking for a strong leader who knows how to manage people, coordinate operations, solve problems, and keep things running smoothly.

Position Overview

The Surf Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of three key departments: Water Patrol, Surf Rentals, and Wave Operations.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for staffing, scheduling, employee supervision, training coordination, equipment management, and departmental budgets.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, confident managing teams, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise employees across Water Patrol, Surf Rentals, and Wave Operations.
  • Develop and maintain employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing and operational coverage.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations in coordination with HR and the Operations Manager.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, provide coaching, and address employee concerns professionally.
  • Coordinate department training and work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure required training is completed.
  • Oversee daily operations and make adjustments for weather conditions, staffing changes, cancellations, and special events.
  • Communicate schedule changes and operational updates to employees and management.
  • Maintain equipment inventories and coordinate purchasing needs with the Operations Manager.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, track expenses, and manage costs within approved guidelines.
  • Ensure employees are appropriately trained and assigned to their respective operational roles.
  • Support holiday operations, special events, and other management responsibilities as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong leadership and employee supervision skills.
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities.
  • Experience coordinating multiple teams or departments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing operational needs.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to track expenses and manage departmental budgets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
