Med-Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26003133)
The Wagner Group is based in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. The group, led by Dr. Amy Wagner, MD, researches the impact of an individual’s genetics and biomarkers on treatment and outcome after TBI with the intention of laying solid groundwork for a “personalized medicine” approach to treatment and rehabilitation.
Projects include:
• Genetic variability and symptomatology after TBI
• Experimental paradigms for TBI
• Psychological health and functional outcomes after TBI
• Statistical prediction modeling for outcomes after TBI
The group is currently seeking MD, MD/PhD, or PhD scientists with interests in the pathophysiology of traumatic brain injury in the clinical setting with interest in translational research to patient prognosis and treatment. Candidates with cross/multidisciplinary research programs are particularly desirable.
