This role sits at the center of a fast-growing fintech environment focused on modern consumer financial products, including BNPL, lending, and digital payments.
You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance while enabling innovation and supporting rapid product development.
The position involves close collaboration with Legal, Product, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to embed compliance into everyday decision-making.
You will help strengthen and scale a Compliance Management System that supports sustainable business growth.
This is a highly cross-functional role combining strategic oversight with hands-on compliance execution.
You will monitor regulatory changes, guide product launches, and ensure customer-facing processes meet strict regulatory standards.
The environment is dynamic, requiring strong judgment, adaptability, and the ability to balance risk with customer experience and business goals.
Support and enhance the organization’s US compliance program, ensuring alignment with applicable consumer financial regulations across BNPL, lending, and payments activities.
- Provide day-to-day compliance guidance across product, marketing, servicing, and customer experience initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess regulatory requirements for new products and enhancements.
- Review and approve marketing materials, disclosures, customer communications, and internal policies.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of the Compliance Management System (CMS).
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations and products.
- Assist with compliance monitoring, testing activities, issue tracking, remediation, and reporting.
- Prepare documentation for audits, regulatory inquiries, and internal compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with external banking partners to ensure adherence to regulatory and program requirements.
- Contribute to SEC and public company compliance activities where applicable.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve compliance efficiency, monitoring, and regulatory analysis while maintaining governance standards.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in consumer financial services compliance and the ability to operate in a fast-paced fintech environment.
- 5+ years of compliance experience in fintech, banking, payments, lending, or BNPL industries.
- Strong knowledge of US consumer financial regulations including UDAAP, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, and EFTA.
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks, monitoring programs, testing, or issue management processes.
- Familiarity with SEC compliance, public company governance, or disclosure requirements is highly valued.
- Proven ability to balance regulatory requirements with business and customer experience needs.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Legal, Product, Risk, Operations, and Finance teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong ownership and attention to detail.
- Experience using or evaluating AI-enabled compliance tools or automation technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD or relevant certifications preferred.
