Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance and guidance to the team to support production and related problems.
- Create and program tool paths based on design models
- Collaborate with design engineers on tool design to enhance tool manufacturability
- Dismantle and repair or replace mold parts, units or fixtures, fitting and assembling parts and testing repaired tooling for proper operation
- Fit and assemble new tools
- Setup machine tools, program and setup numerically controlled machines
- Setup, operate, program and maintain various machining equipment to manufacture tooling and parts to close tolerances and to a high degree of precision
What You Bring:
- Must have experience with programming and set up CNC milling centres
- Able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and superior fabrication skills
- Able to demonstrate troubleshooting skills, identify practical solutions and provide clear recommendations.
- Able to work with CAM software (preferably MasterCam)
- Able to work from mechanical drawings, conduct regular preventative maintenance on machine shop tools and equipment
- Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills
